If you are new to the Christian faith, then
please consider the following before responding to your Invitation...
There is an old American phrase that goes...
"I've got you covered." It means that you're protected by a friend.
In John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way, the
truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except by me." And John
15:13-14, "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his
friends. You are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you."
By accepting God's free invitation to his Son's
wedding, you agree that God IS, that Jesus died as the price of admission (His right
standing with his Father ), "has you covered." Jesus rose from the dead
and is seated at the right hand of His Father in His Heavenly Kingdom, and you agree to be
covered properly. Romans 4:7 says, "Saying, blessed are they whose iniquities
(wickedness) are forgiven, and whose sins are covered."
John 3:16 says it best... "God so loved the
world that he gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believed might be saved."
Christians use one particular "prayer"
and two particular "creeds" which summarize what they believe. It will
help you make the final decision about accepting God's plan. They are the Lord's Prayer, the Apostles
Creed and the Nicene Creed. Click
on either one to read and say them for yourself. When you pray, God hears your words
and answers your prayer in the Spirit. Therefore, speak your prayers in a
conversational manner and then be quiet and listen with the Spirit that God sends into
your heart.
Finally, it is going to be GREAT living in God's
Kingdom... read 1 Corinthians 2:9, But as it is written, "What no eye has seen,
nor ear heard, nor the human heart conceived, what God has prepared for those who love
Him."
